NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Notice is hereby given to the residents of Caledonia, Essex
& Orleans Counties of the state of Vermont, that the Northeastern Vermont
Development Association (NVDA) will hold a public hearing at the Lyndon
Institute Cafeteria on Tuesday, December 6, 2005 at 7 PM
This hearing will be held for public review of and comment on
the proposed Regional Plan for the Northeast Kingdom 2005 pursuant to Title 24
VSA, Chapter 117.
The proposed Regional Plan is a generalized policy document
that will affect all lands within the Northeast Kingdom if it is
adopted.
The purpose of the proposed Regional Plan is to guide future
growth and development in the Northeast Kingdom. This regional plan offers
new goals and strategies to foster economic development, preserve historic and
cultural resources, guide traditional development patterns and address other
quality of life issues in our region. A full list of plan elements is
included below.
